Iron Treated Curly Maple Chef’s Mill
$175.00
Iron Nitrate was (and still is) used to color antique gun stocks. The solution is applied to the maple surface and dried. Then it is gradually heated with a hair dryer until the color turns dark. Oil is applied and the surface is wet-buffed on the lathe to even the color out and seal the wood.
The base is textured Hickory finished with lacquer. This is a really unique peppermill.
